Super Easy, Drought Resistant Beauty
Autumn Fire Sedum , Sedum spectabile 'Autumn Fire', is a wonder-plant for your garden. Once blooming, the color is non-stop. Bold clusters of closely packed, rosy pink flowers show up in late summer, gracefully age to a salmon-pink bronze and finish with a deep copper-red in fall.
Autumn Fire Sedum is an easy-to-grow plant that not only tolerates drought, but even seems to thrive in it! This is a great improvement over the garden staple, Autumn Joy Sedum. It is a classic upright Sedum with large flower heads that are held out nice and flat. The strong stems hold up much longer into the fall than Autumn Joy, too.
These plants are easy in almost all soils and grow in full sun to part shade. The waxy blue-green succulent-like stems highlight the flowers. They are also very showy in late fall when the flowers are faded.
If you leave the stems on throughout the winter you'll see that they look great in the snow with their rusty red color. Butterflies and bumblebees love the Autumn Fire Sedum. Plants are useful in borders, rock gardens, or as a filler. Mix these in with Daylilies, Phlox and Sages for a great show all summer into fall.
- Long season of bright color
- Drought resistant, Filler plant
- Easy care and winter hardy
- Butterflies and Bees love them!
