This bushy upright shrub is a terrific screen or barrier plant with a great look. Featuring interesting gold and green variegated leaves, it develops fragrant small white flowers in late summer. These flowers mature into red fruit that is absolutely beloved by birds.

Once established, your plant can grow up to three feet a year. Keep it well away from foundations, as it is a vigorous grower.

This is a very easy care, drought tolerant plant once it's established.

Keep your eyes on it the first year and give it a deep watering as needed so you'll get the fastest growth. You won't need to worry about it after that first year.

It can be pruned once a year to keep it smaller. It's a great plant for birds, but deer leave it alone.
