Florist Quality Cuts for the Home Gardener!
When your garden is beginning to look plain tuckered out after a long growing season, sweet Magical Pride Coralberry (also known in some circles as a snowberry) will burst forth in yards and yards of beautiful berries on tall and arching stems. These berries are a great boon to the late summer/early fall garden during that often quiet transition time, but they are also gorgeous cut and brought into the house to fill vases and bouquets.
Magical Pride was bred in the Netherlands for the massive floral industry there. They were bred to be easy to cultivate and to have an impressively long vase life too. No back breaking work is required by you to get florist quality cuts!
This shrub has lovely green leaves that drape off of the arching stems from spring to fall. In the spring the flowers start blooming, but you are really waiting for the explosive fall show. That is when the berries bust out in profusion. The blueberry-sized fruits are like strings of soft-pink pearls all along the arching stems.
You can't eat the berries, but birds love them. They add extra texture and color to the fall garden and vase.
Make sure that you order more than one. They are gorgeous in the back of the border and fantastic in mass plantings and will perk up your garden when everything else is winding down for the season.
