Boulder Blue Fescue Grass

Boulder Blue Fescue Grass, Festuca glauca 'Boulder Blue', is one of the more intense blue-leaved selections, retaining its color all season. Tan spikes appear in early summer. Blue Boulder Fescue Grass is a gorgeous looking small grass and makes a wonderful addition to your garden. With its attractive blue foliage and small size there is a spot or two for this grass in any garden. Boulder Blue Fescue prefers dry, well-drained soil, likes the sun, and is drought tolerant.

Boulder Blue Fescue Grass is an evergreen and excellent for mass planting, edging, or in the rock garden. Clumps are easily divided in early spring, and this should be done every 2 to 3 years. In colder winter regions the leaves should be trimmed back in late winter right to the base. If desired, flower spikes may also be removed in summer.
