George L. Taber produces an incredible display of wonderful flowers. The lavish show will stop traffic on your street!

The impact of the blooms has to be seen to be believed. And you can enjoy the masses of showy, single blooms twice a year.

Light and bright, multi-colored flowers cover the plant from top to bottom in early spring. In fall, as the weather cools, a happy George L. Taber will produce a second, smaller flush of blooms.

Each bloom is nearly white with a pale orchid-lavender overcast. The throat showcases a deeper magenta tone, with a rosy-pink splotch. From a distance, the ombre colorway reads as a sophisticated pink and white variegation.

This outstanding color contrasts beautifully, set as it is against the dark foliage. Long, leathery evergreen Azalea leaves remain green all through the growing season and well beyond. They come to a cute point at the tip.

This lovely variety can grow quite large, which makes it a very useful landscaping plant. Use it as a marvelous flowering hedge by planting several in a row.

George L. Taber Southern Indica Azalea has a wider growing range than others. It's large size, exquisite coloration and slightly better tolerance to cold makes this choice a big winner.

These big boys are so versatile and robust. Their larger size and prolific, reblooming nature will become a standout in your landscape.

#ProPlantTips for Care

George L. Taber Azalea can perform well in full sun, but will appreciate a little afternoon shade in the hottest part of the day. Try them on the east side of your property, or larger evergreen trees.

Azaleas love moist, acidic, well-drained soil. If you have heavy, clay soil that retains water, you'll want to create an 18-inch raised planting bed to improve your drainage. Use native soil with a few small handfuls of peat moss and pine needle soil conditioner added for best results.

Far better to plant Azaleas too high, than too low. To help mound them up when planting, leave a few inches of the root ball showing above the ground.

Carefully cover with a dense layer of pine mulch to cover the root system. Be sure to pull the mulch back several inches from the main stems.

Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. That mulch layer will also help keep the ground moist, so plan to reapply it each year.

Keep your plantings weeded, as George L. Taber's shallow roots won't like the competition. We recommend creating a mulched planting bed to make it easy for yourself.

Ensure your plants receive plenty of air circulation. It's never a good idea to plant right next to a building, or in a tight corner. Good airflow around each plant helps dry the foliage and reduces the potential for disease.

Apply a good, organic, slow-release fertilizer in early spring according to the product directions. Look for a formula designed for Acid Loving plants.

Prune only after the first flush of spring flowers is passed. We recommend keeping this plant on the natural side. Avoid tightly clipped hedge pruning style on George L. Taber, please.

You'll be thrilled with the performance and style of this superstar shrub. Order your George L. Taber today, and fall in love with your garden all over again.
