Red Foliage All Year
Euphorbia Bonfire, Euphorbia polychroma 'Bonfire' PPAF, is a hot new perennial succulent groundcover with striking mahogany-red foliage.
The leaves emerge green but quickly turn a deeper red. Unlike other Euphorbias that may turn red in the fall, 'Bonfire' displays its smoldering red foliage all summer long!
Radiant chartreuse flower bracts provide a nice contrast in the spring; the bright yellow tips really glow!
This fantastic foliage gradually becomes a rich red in the fall. It is great enhancement of the Common Spurge!
'Bonfire' has a nice mounding habit with foliage that is resistant to deer and rabbits.
It grows best in well-drained, poor-to-moderately fertile soil. Divide every two to three years or as needed.
Late-summer cutback can be beneficial if plants start to "birdnest." Use gloves since sap may irritate skin of susceptible individuals!
If you are looking for an all-season colorful plant, this 'Bonfire' plant is one of the most gorgeous Spurges ever grown!
