Love the lush, informal look of a naturalized meadow? Interested in supporting our amazing butterflies and helpful pollinators? Just want an easy to grow flowering plant that is easy on the eyes and easy to love?

One of the best options for your garden is Creme Brulee Coreopsis (Coreopsis 'Creme Brulee'). These small plants are an improved variety of our native Tickweed, and they'll bloom for months through the late spring through the summer.

Do a quick shearing in mid-summer and you'll see flushes of blooms all the way through fall!

These plants catch the slightest breeze. As they sway and rock, you'll add a kinetic sense of motion to your yard.

The buttery-yellow blooms are showy with toothed petals. Although they are larger than other Coreopsis verticillata varieties, Creme Brulee blooms still look dainty enough for a fairy picnic.

You'll want to spend time studying this special plant, which boasts a range of hues from pale to deeper yellow flowers. Offset by the brighter green leaves, the flowers develop high on the stems, and also grow further along down into the foliage, which is a wonderful feature!

Overall, this variety gives a very full and mounding look without being overpowering. The feathery threadleaf foliage is a welcome, airy contrast to strappy Daylilies or sturdy Coneflowers.

These fine-textured, low growing pale yellow perennials can also lighten up the dignity of Landscape Roses. Creme Brulee is a sophisticated take on this beloved native variety.

Producing a profusion of pale yellow flowers in full sun, you'll want to add several of these lovely herbaceous perennials. You and your guests will be amazed at how many flowers it produces from about June all the way through October.

You'll have so many blossoms, you can always spare a few for a cut arrangement. Use one or two blooms in a collection of tiny vases placed on a pretty tray. You'll get a charming display for your tablescape.

Butterflies also find the flowers easy to land on and their nectar source irresistible. But deer tend to leave it alone. Since it thrives in poor soil and has low water needs, Creme Brulee will easily add beauty to any trouble spot in your garden!

You'll appreciate these easy, airy native plants year after year. They'll just get better and better for you. Order Creme Brulee Coreopsis from LetsPlantify.com today.

How to Use Creme Brulee Coreopsis in the Landscape

Use these perfect sun-loving plants in a border or as a mass planting to fill wide, open spaces with a fabulous display. The lemon yellow flowers might whisper, but their sheer number will turn up the volume.

This is an elegant variety, well suited for many garden styles. They play nicely with other plants in the foreground as an edging solution. Or, weave them into a mixed planting for contrast.

If you grow veggies or have fruiting trees on your property, use them nearby to entice helpful pollinators to visit your garden. You'll be grateful for your successfully pollinated harvest by simply adding nectar sources.

They'll make any landscape planting a Butterfly Garden. Add them to a waterwise, xeriscaped rock garden. Or plant them in a cheerful circle all the way around your mailbox.

Use them in garden containers as a "Filler" to be a supporting player for more dramatic "Thrillers".

One of the most effective ways to use Creme Brulee Coreopsis is with a wide variety of Ornamental Grasses. Recreate a small-scale prairie in a mixed planting; or keep the look very modern by planting multiples of the same grass variety.

Start collecting vases now! You'll want to gather armloads of blooms to use throughout the season in cut flower arrangements.

#ProPlantTips for Care

For best results, select Creme Brulee Coreopsis for the most challenging areas of your landscape. These rugged natives need well-drained soil, and can thrive in poor soils.

After all, they grow wild in the dry Sandhills and vast arid grasslands of the United States. You can imagine how much direct sunlight they can tolerate!

They'll need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. You'll get the most flowers if you supply them with a medium amount of water, but they will tolerate occasional dry periods just fine once they are established in your soil.

The foliage is mildew-resistant, but all plants should be allowed room to grow into their full spread.

The exception to that is if you want to establish a mass planting where the plants grow together into a solid screen, you'll want to space them 12 inches apart on center. They will grow outward to fill in the space between the plants.

Measure from the center of one to the center of the next. Mulch between plants and keep new mass plantings watered.

Extend your season of blooms with a quick "haircut" around the first of August. Trim about one-third of the growth back. You'll tidy up the foliage and encourage a new flush of flowers for fall decoration.

Enjoy these sweet plants in your garden this season and for many years to come. Order today!
