CitraBlue™ is heat-hardy and tolerant in growing zones 8 through 11! Plant anywhere you’ll have regular foot traffic or trickier soil conditions to contend with, as well as standing up to some shade without dead patches or thinning.

How Many Plug Trays Should I Order?

CitraBlue™ St. Augustine Grass can best be maintained at around 2 - 4 inches in height so you mow less! Water and fertilize as usual, but with improved disease resistance, you’ll use fewer sprays and less worry!

LetsPlantify.com turfgrass plugs are healthy 1 ½ inch square X 2 ¼ inches deep. CitraBlue™ is sold by the tray, with 70 plugs in each tray, so coverage will depend on how closely they’re planted, however, recommended spacing is 6-12 inches. See the table below for shipping times, square footage and spacing.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

St. Augustine plugs are Easy to Install. Irrigate the ground thoroughly several days ahead of planting, then maintain soil moisture consistently afterward. Apply a light amount of organic fertilizer. Install by punching 1-inch holes in the ground. We recommend planting the plugs one foot apart. Gently remove the plugs from the tray by pushing them up from the bottom. Do not PULL them from the top as this may damage the roots.
