Thornless and Container Ready!
- Delicious Berries
- Full-Sized Fruit
- Thornless
Did you ever get the chance to go blackberry picking when you were a kid? Often the best berries were in wild stands along country roads and fields. Unfortunately the price you often paid for those delicious, chin-staining berries was pricked fingers and sleeves from the nasty thorns on the vines and having to sort out the blackberry vines from the fences and hedgerow they needed to grow against for support.
Thanks to the University of Arkansas' internationally applauded program that searches out and tests the best blackberries for the home gardener every year based on performance, size, beauty, taste and ease we are happy to introduce to you the new Baby Cakes™ Blackberry (Rubus ' Bushel and Berry Babycakes blackberry')! This dwarf bush-type berry plant is thornless (yay!) and is petite enough to grow in the front of the border or in your favorite large container so that it can be in easy reach come harvest time.
In most regions Baby Cakes™ Blackberry will produce twice in one season, giving your double the harvest! It produces on second year canes, so be patient with it. Once it starts producing, though, watch out! The big, juicy berries will wow you year after year. All of those store bought blackberries will pale in comparison.
You'll want to order multiples for better berry production and simply because once you taste them you'll want more! Order yours today!
